New season, new life
Trees are reminders of changing seasons.
The beautiful big acorn tree on our grounds love to remind us about the change of season. This tree is not only a joy and blessing in our lives, but a reminder that our lives will also go through seasons.
Spring time is the most exciting. One week you see a few leaves starting to show and the next week there is beautiful bright, new leaves. The birds are chirping and declaring that it is time for nature to wake up from the winter slumber. Be happy, joyful because springtime is here! New life, new beginnings, new adventures.
In summer our tree gives us wonderful shade underneath the luscious leaves. Hiding us away from the scorching sun and keeping our cars a bit cooler.
During Autumn the tree becomes a painting in itself. Adorned in yellow, brown, red and orange and shedding acorns all around. This reminds us to bear fruit and to shed yourself of things that do not glorify God.
Wintertime is a time of waiting. Stripped bare, but still alive, the tree is waiting for the new season to arrive. This can be a struggling time against the cold and drought, but it will survive.
In our lives, we also go through seasons. Times of new life, growth and sowing seeds and a time for waiting, resting and struggles that we have to go through.
At the Centre of Hope, we are approaching a new season.
This website is one of our new ventures. This will be a tool to keep everyone informed about what we do, who we are and how you can help. We will share heart-warming and sometimes heart-breaking stories about our members and volunteers. On our website you can access a list of members searching for employment.
We are excited to make an impact in the lives of the poor and homeless in Sasolburg, but we cannot do it alone. As a community we can stand together and make a positive change in someone’s life. We can give them Hope. Hope for a better life. Hope for a better future. Hope in Christ, to be a better person.
Join us to bring Hope in Sasolburg and transform lives.
Matthew 25:35-36
“For I was hungry, and you gave me food, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you made me your guest, I needed clothes and you took care of me, I was in prison and you visited me.”
